Xbox 360 Freezing Up While in Play – Why?
Learn how to fix xbox The question above is one that most gamers have become very familiar with. It is often asked in annoyance and sometimes, frustration. Why does the Xbox 360 console that was brought recently start freezing up or Xbox 360 freezing errors? It shouldn’t be. It is spoiling so much fun. Yeah! I can relate to all that. Last week, I was playing my favorite game when my console freezed up. Nothing I did worked; not even the towel trick. The problem continued for a while so I also asked the rhetorical question ‘why does my console freeze up?’
The Xbox 360 freezes because of a design flaw. Microsoft downsized the cooling unit to accommodate the DVD. The heat sinks are now too small to properly cool the motherboard, and that causes the entire system to freeze up on even simple tasks. This can be very annoying since this is entirely the fault of the design team and nothing to do with the consumer. Why do we have to pay for a crime we were never a part of?
So here’s what happens, while the console is being used, hot air gets recycled around and around in the console. The motherboard bends and as a result, the console can’t help but overheat. Hence the constant freezes. The more you ignore the problem and think it would soon end, the more frequent the freezes become. The enjoyment of playing a game is completely zapped away by these unexpected freezes that happen at pivotal moments in the game.
