This Is England
Director Shane Meadows brought an authentic story with his new film “This Is Englandâ€- the story tracks the activities of a talented 12-year-old boy (Thomas Turgoose, performing a notable performance in his first film) he is accepted by a group of neighborhood after he loses his father who was a serviceman killed in the Falkland. The film is based on some shady groundand raises some complicated issues about the specific time and place without any compromise with the theme of the movie. Like Meadows’ earlier movies, Dead Man’s Shoes and A Room for Romeo Brass, This Is England is about younger, susceptible figures being taken under the wing of older and matured expression. An open minded viewer will like this movie.
